The project is located in a remote area of Oman, untouched by human activities. The main concept of the lighting design is the night sky. The night sky is star filled as the area is so remote. Minimizing the upward light spill was a priority as a direct consequence there are no upward oriented lights. The fixture orientation, warm light temperatures, low lumen output fixtures and non conventional light emitting objects (florescent gravel) were used in the lighting design. Together all these elements create a discrete ambiance that will mirror the stary sky in some areas and allow the guests to admire it unobstructed in other areas.
